What I’ve accomplished and who I’ve learned from
Dressage
Trained and competed through 4th level, ridden GP. USDF bronze, AHSA and breed association year end awards and championships. Trained with Janet Black (classical instructor at the American Dressage Institute), also Bill Warren, Rebecca Garrard, Pam Goodrich, Sibley Hannigan and clinics with Conrad Schumacher. I also spent quite a bit of time in Spain training extensively with the trainers at Barcelona Horses. Most notable was Diederik Wigmans.
Professionally videotaped clinics by (many of them several times a year) - Charlotte Dujardin, Lilo Fore, Debbie McDonald, Ann Gribbons, Stephan Peters, Shannon Peters, Christine Traurig, David Blake, Conrad Schumacher, Jan Brink, Leslie Reid, David Marcus, Jeremy Steinberg, Karen Robinson (freestyle design), Henrik Johansson, and more.
Working Equitation
Trained and competed through intermediate A, ridden Masters. Trained with Pedro Torres and Pedro Neves. Participant at judges seminar taught by Antonio Vicente and Mario C Pimentel
Eventing
Trained and competed though intermediate level. Was on the USET long long (long) list. Trained with Denny Emerson for over 8 years, clinics with James Wofford, Torrance Watkins and more!
Combined Driving
Trained and competed though Advanced FEI single horse. Qualified for USET selection trials for the World Championships in France (owner of horse chose not to pursue). Trained with Robin Groves, clinics with Bill Lower and Muffy Seaton.
Animal Learning and Behavior
University of Vermont BS in Zoology with a minor in Psychology. Independent study and research assistant with learning experiments (bar pressing rats). Internship training sea lions at Animal Training and Research International/Moss Landing Marine Labs CA State U. Living and Learning professional course taught by Susan Friedman PH.D. Intrinzen, now pantherflow, by Kathy Sierra (a movement-science approach to help horses rediscover a love for expressive movement). Attendance at Clicker Expo’s, webinars by various trainers, and clinics by Shawna Karrasch. Books books and more books!
Cowgirl
Barrel racing, team penning, cattle sorting, horse packing and just countless hours on the trail.
